In an effort to bring the 2023 electioneering process to a conclusive end, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced April 15, for the conduct of all pending Governorship, National and State Assembly Elections in the country.
The Commission made the announcement on Monday, March 27, in a statement signed by Rotimi Oyekanmi, the Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu,
Oyekanmi, following a meeting held earlier today, noted that the commission has decided to hold all outstanding elections in the country on Saturday, 15 April, 2023.
His words, “Arising from its meeting held today, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has decided that all outstanding governorship, National, and State Assembly supplementary elections will take place on Saturday 15th April 2023.
“A detailed official statement will follow shortly.”
