The Supreme Court has adjourned till May 11, 2023, the appeal hearing of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
Kanu’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, disclosed this, on Thursday, in a tweet.
Ejimakor wrote: “Sadly, the Supreme Court has adjourned the #MNK appeal hearing to next month.”
The Apex court had earlier heard Kanu’s appeal over his continuous detention at the Department of State Services, DSS, facility, Abuja.
Kanu’s Special Counsel had prior to today’s hearing urged the Apex court to ensure justice in the trial of the IPOB leader, expressing hope that the trial would end today.
