In a bid to ensure a fair and transparent governorship primary election in Ondo State, Prince Diran Iyantan has called on the national leadership of the APC to consider the option of direct primary.
After obtaining his expression of interest form and governorship primary form at the party headquarters in Abuja, Prince Iyantan emphasized the need for a direct primary to prevent moneybags from hijacking the process and buying votes.
“We must uphold the sanctity of the primary election process to ensure that the most qualified aspirant emerges as the party’s candidate for the November 2024 governorship election,” Iyantan stated.
Confident in his ability to secure victory in the primary election, Prince Iyantan believes that his leadership will bring about a positive change for the people of Ondo State. He expressed his commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies and promised to work towards economic growth and development in the state.
Iyantan also emphasized the importance of allowing politicians of the progressive extraction in Ondo State to have their chance at producing the next governor. He reiterated, “It’s the turn of the core progressive to lead Ondo State. Awalokan. Progressive L’okan.”
With Prince Diran Iyantan at the helm, the people of Ondo State can look forward to a brighter future filled with hope and progress.
