In a bid to rectify what they perceive as an oversight in the recent appointment of a Chairman for the Transition Committee of Ile-Oluji West LCDA, indigenes of the area have penned a petition to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State.
The petition, signed by Tanimowo Olowosunmoye, James Adetipe, Adejayan Kehinde, Adebayo Folorunso and Sunday Ugwoke on behalf of the people of Ile-Oluji West LCDA, expresses disappointment that Apostle Akinyugha Festus Olu was appointed as Chairman despite not being from the LCDA.
The petitioners attached Apostle Akinyugha’s voter registration identity to support their claim.
The indigenes of Ile-Oluji West LCDA are calling for the Governor to reconsider the appointment and choose a qualified individual from their own community to lead the Transition Committee.
They believe that this move would not only correct the perceived injustice but also promote inclusivity and motivation among the people of the LCDA.
The petitioners express their appreciation for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership and dedication to the state, and they trust that he will address their concerns promptly.
It remains to be seen how Governor Aiyedatiwa will respond to the petition and whether he will consider the indigenes’ request to appoint a Chairman from Ile-Oluji West LCDA.
