President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima, in the just concluded 2023 Presidential election, have been presented their Certificates of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, presented the Certificates of Return to the winners on Wednesday, March 1, at a ceremony held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, venue of the election’s results collation.
Tinubu won the 2023 Presidential election held on Saturday, February 25 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, after polling 8,794,726 votes to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who polled 6,984,520 votes.
The Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, who came third scored 6,101,533 votes, while the New Nigeria Peoples Party candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, emerged fourth with 1,496,687 votes.
