The Supreme Court has nullified the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN’s ban on the use of the old N200, N500 and N1000 notes, as legal tenders.
The Apex Court, in a unanimous decision by a seven-member panel of Justices, on Friday, held that the old Naira notes should remain valid legal tenders until December 31, 2023.
It held that the old Naira notes should be used alongside the redesigned currencies.
