It appears the Guinness World Records, GWR, has again been saddled with the responsibility to certify a new attempt by another Nigerian Chef to break the recently cook-a-thon record of 93hours, 11minutes set by Hilda Baci.

This is so because an Ekiti-based Chef, Damilola Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dammy, has finally attained the 120hours set for herself in the cook-a-thon effort.

This is coming barely a few hours after the Guinness World Records certified Chef Hilda Baci’s 93hours, 11minutes, as the longest hours in cooking (in an individual category).

26-year-old Dammy, who is passionate about her ambition, had earlier on Tuesday attained 111hours in her cook-a-thon attempt holding in Oye Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

During the effort, Chef Dammy got lots of encouragements from Nigerians, including the first lady of Ekiti state, who saluted her courage through a post on her social media handle, and the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, who visited her during the exercise.

Should Chef Dammy’s new 120hours record be certified by the GWR, she will become the new Guinness World Records holder.
